GRAFFITI-SHIELD CLEANER is an oil-emulsified organic cleaner used to remove graffiti. After approximately 30-40 cleanings, the original GRAFFITI-SHIELD film will be diminished and the surface needs to be recoated with GRAFFITI-SHIELD RECOAT.

GRAFFITI-SHIELD CLEANER is used in removal of graffiti from wall surfaces previously protected with GRAFFITI-SHIELD protective coating.

  • Easy to use
  • Highly active
  • Cost-effective
  • Spray, roller, or bush applied

20 L (5.3 Gal.) Pails

Coverage rate will vary according to the age, number of layers of graffiti, and type of graffiti coating being removed.  Always conduct a test patch to determine suitability and usage level specific to the graffiti being removed.

Shelf life is 12 months when stored in unopened containers on pallets in a cool, dry area.

  • Complies with Canadian VOC Concentration Limits for Consumer Product Regulations.

Application Method … To remove graffiti from surfaces treated with GRAFFITI-SHIELD, apply GRAFFITI-SHIELD CLEANER by spraying, rolling, or brushing.

Spraying is preferable, particularly on rough surfaces.

Let GRAFFITI-SHIELD CLEANER act on the graffiti for 10 – 15 minutes and then wash with 14 – 17 MPa (2000 – 2500 psi) pressure water.

On rough surfaces that may “lock in” the graffiti or some graffiti sprays, the removal may not be complete and the procedure may have to be repeated.

After approximately 30 – 40 graffiti removals, the surface will require re-application of GRAFFITI-SHIELD.

Drying Time … GRAFFITI-SHIELD dries to a wet edge in 30 minutes.  It dries to the touch in one hour.  The product achieves full cure in two days at 20° C.

Clean Up … All tools and equipment should be cleaned with water immediately after use. Dried film can be removed by acetone.

Do not apply GRAFFITI-SHIELD when air temperature or surface temperature are likely to be lower than 5° C or when rain is imminent.  Highly porous surfaces with bug holes and roughness will allow the graffiti materials to “lock” in the surface crevices and make cleaning much more difficult.  Some graffiti may remain on rough surfaces, even after cleaning.
