Objective:

Waterproofing & H2S protection of interior concrete walls of aeration tanks using Cem-Kote Flex CR at the Lagoon Lake, Bracebridge (Muskoka) wastewater treatment facility.

The concrete surface was cleaned using high pressure water using 35 MPa (5,000 psi).  Cem-Kote Flex CR, reinforced with Reinforcing Fabric HD, was applied in two coats to total thickness of 2 mm (80 mils).  Coves were installed at all horizontal & vertical corners, using Fibre-Patch OV and treated using 2 coats of Cem-Kote Flex CR, with the Reinforcing Fabric HD in between.

Installation was carried out in 2010 and the project was inspected in 2013 – no signs of de-bonding or deterioration was reported by operator.
